Rumor: New Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six on the horizon

According to CVG, an anonymous source has hinted that Ubisoft will be announcing new entries in the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six franchises this year.

What's still up in the air is if the new titles will be continuations of the current series Advanced Warfighter and Vegas. With two years gone by and nothing new on the side of Ghost Recon, CVG speculates that the development team may introduce a new engine into the mix showcasing better visuals and new gameplay types. As for Rainbow Six, it will be interesting to see what happens.

The source also revealed that the two new titles might even release before 2010, which wouldn't be too surprising. Stay tuned for more details as Ubisoft has yet to confirm anything.

Sadly, Ubi will release both with major multiplayer glitches and NEVER fix them.

It has already been known that 1) There will be a new Rainbow Six, and, 2) That it will not be set in Vegas. The developers themselves even said something along the lines of 'The next game will not be set in vegas'. Does that not clear it up? I hope they do give some details on it soon, I love R6V2, I have played it almost every day for a few hours since it's release date.

Hopefully they'll dump the unreal engine for the next R6 installment. Not likely, but I can hope.

I'm over the moon at the moment, but this coming from an "anonymous source", I don't have high hopes. Hopefully Ubisoft will debunk / confirm this. And also, if they decide to make another Ranbow Six Vegas, I'll be dissapointed. No more Vegas... It sucks.

bout time to drop the Unreal3 engine, it sucks anyways.

Im eagar to see what will become of Ghost Recon, i ADORED AW1 and 2, and im eagarly ancticipating it :D

however, i do agree with another poster here, Ubisoft will release it, glitchy to crap, and NEVER fix the major problems, be it balancing or outright crashing.
