During a Take-Two conference call, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder confirmed the official release dates for BioShock 2.
According to Feder, BioShock 2 will release in Europe first, hitting shelves on October 30, 2009. Then shortly after, the title will come stateside on November 3, 2009.
It will be interesting to see what 2K Games shows next week at E3, and if BioShock 2 can live up to the mammoth success of its predecessor. BioShock 2 will be the first in the series to feature multiplayer, which could be very good, or very, very bad. We'll reserve judgment until we get our hands on the game.

@2 Oh if only they knew/remembered that lol
Give it the same eerie, grotesque atmosphere as before and we could be onto another winner here. Oh and ramp up the difficulty slightly as even on medium setting, it was fairly straight forward. Even taking down a big daddy with a crossbow was just a question of good aiming skill alone.

I did enjoy the first one despite playing in on x360 and getting through 2 consoles (RROD) before completing it. I was tempted to get the PS3 version when it came out but figured I will wait till Bioshock2.
Poor xbox its just used for the media center these days (I wish sony would do something similar for PS3).
Im in Singapore as far as I can tell we always get games ages after they release US and Europe, also our PSN is way behind the rest of the world ... sucks !!
