great news were getting two new metal gears, could care less about exclusivity im jus glad i get to play it.  worried about the lightening bolt action tho, jus what kind of game are getting from the guy who invented the stealth genre?

 will kojima be doing anything other then critiquing this? he's supposedly working flat out on the psp version, or so i read. if this isn't his work i'll wait for reveiws. also the mgs4's core team aint working on this either they are also doing the psp version, i dunno im skeptical

This game will be cutting edge, common, its Kojima, expect the best. It might be shorter, but really who cares. He deserved game of the year last year, I guess 2010 will be Kojima's year.

 great news that mgs rising is coming to ps3. i dont understand why they didnt say anything about it at sony's conference. if i were trying to get people to be really interesting in ps3 and buy one, i would tell them about every hit game, rather than twitter the news later.

 the only problem i see to come from this... game mechanics might be simplified and shorter game (around 6-10hrs tops) you heard it hear first. LOL, it probably wont have Kojima's ideal amount of cut scenes (which in my opinion is a nice break from the game as well as adds to the awesome story).

From what some reports are saying, Kojima won't have a direct influence in Rising, although he might be overlooking the project. He said he is directly involved in Peace Walker, though, during the conference.

I was watching G4 coverage and they were running highlights. They were so hyped that the 360 was finally getting a MG game that they kept slipping mulitple times and calling it MGS4. This is not a MGS game. This is a spinoff from what I can tell so far. Never the less I will still pick it up.

thank you! i was getting worried.  i don't want to have to pay for online just to play MGS.     we playstation fans should start calling it MGR, because it's not MGS.  solid snake is no where to be found and it's not tactical espionage.    why couldn't kojima say "it's finally going multiplat to the 360.  atleast then we would kno, it's still on our ps3s.    that made me really angry with him,  i mean thinking that xbox was getting MGR  exclusivly  on there console.    i felt i was betrayed and everything else.  but yesterday i decided it was just a RTaiden game they were getting. not solid snake!

This is just a spin off from mgs for the xbots,haha and it aint even exclsuive,ps3 is getting it aswell and no doubt will have the most sales.

Well, don't forget he's the guy who brought ZoE and ZoE2. And ZoE is fast paced INTENSE action.

And in my mind, Rising is going to be a much smaller game... since it is planned on the 360 and it will be nerfed to like 9gigs. But it can still be good I guess. I'll wait and see for upcoming gameplay.

i don't get why people hate raiden so much. just because he was the star of one game and snake wasn't? i think that he was an interesting character with his own background. i actually prefer raiden because his past is more realistic and beievable. he isn't a clone, but he grew up in war. solid snake is just a broody guy with daddy issues.

 This game will not be as epic as MGS4 or any of the other MGS (Kojima is possibly only overlooking this as his focus is on PSP atm).  I still believe it will be good.  Will it be as technically advanced as MGS4?  No its multiplat.

Thing is the Brand X guys just wanted it because We have it. It's not going to be as exciting to them now that it's confirmed multiplatform. But ultimately I think it's just that kojima wants to test his newer team members to see who shines and might be strong enough to handle a second game so that HE doesnt have to do everything. Plus it keeps people from hating him directly just because there's a MGS game on Brand X.

YOU are all fools for thinking that MGS wasn't coming to the 360. The 360 is just as powerful. Fan boy idiots... 'Oh the 360 can't handle MGS too weak blah blah' and what happened??? The MAN himself Hideo annoced that MGS Rising WILL be coming to the 360. Exclusive or not we're in for some MGS action. So please if you PS3 boys have nothing good to say don't say anything at all. And before you say anything about FF14 ... yes we'll be getting that too ^^
