Sony Computer Entertainment has today announced that the PlayStation Network release of MediEvil has had to be recalled, as it contains a crash-bug that renders the game unplayable after the third level.
Speaking to Eurogamer, the company revealed that the title would be pulled temporarily while the problem is addressed; furthermore, consumers who purchased the game would be able to download the re-release free of charge. However, no details were revealed as to when we could expect the game to be made available again.
In related news, Sony is also addressing reports pertaining to audio problems in the PSN release of Spyro 2; unlike MediEvil, however, the game has yet to be recalled and remains available to download for GBP 3.49.
Stay tuned for more information as it breaks.
