2K Games has revealed that BioShock 2 will receive a global release across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms on February 9, 2010.
The hotly anticipated sequel takes place a decade after the events of the original BioShock, with gamers assuming command of one of Rapture’s lumbering Big Daddy behemoths as they attempt to track down a mysterious creature that has been spotted kidnapping young girls along the Atlantic coastline.
In addition to a gripping single player experience, BioShock 2 also boasts a stellar multiplayer component, which takes place during the fall of Rapture and acts as a prequel to the franchise. Stay tuned for more coverage on BioShock 2 in the near future.

Can't wait for this game.
They could ban Modern Warfare 2 from shelves all over the country and I'd still be happy to know that BioShock 2 will soon be within my grasp.
DAY. ONE. PURCHASE.

I'm worried. I hope it's for nothing, but I'm deeply fearful that they are going to try to appeal to much to the multiplayer crowd and foresake the one player experience. I absolutley hated RE5. The game felt really dumb down compared to the other games in the series because you simply couldn't have the same level of involvement with two people there. It was just run and gun from point A to point B. I was hoping it would be like RE Zero and it was more like Gears of War with a RE backdrop. I hope something similar doesn't happen with bioshock.

I hope the story and atmosphere is up to par with the first game. I know it's gonna be great, but will it be better than BioShock 1? Still a day one buy! :)
