Stranglehold delayed once again

No sooner than anxious PlayStation 3 owners get closer to the release date of the John Woo title, Stranglehold, it seems to slip away to a later date.

Originally scheduled for release on September 17th, North American PS3 owners will now have to wait for their Tequila fix until the 25th, and Europeans until the following month.

The PC iteration of the new action series has also been delayed, with the title now postponed until September 18th and 21st in North American and European territories, respectively. The Xbox 360 version, however, remains on track for its proposed September 5th release in North America, with a European version following on September 14th.

All games were planned for a concurrent release, though the delay will do little to matter at this point, as the final product should be well worth the wait. Stay tuned for full coverage of the game here at PSU later this month.

The generation in general is lousy with delays. It's no surprise. The companies in general are simply not doing their best to understand when these games should truely be ready. either that or they're strying to spread out the released seeing as everything is coming out within a week o each other. My copy of Lair just shipped, and Heavenly sword is the week after that. Strangle hold would have been right on it's heels and this is all assuming that I didnt buy Warhawk which a lot of you did, It's a gameing flood all because of delays and I'm not mad at someone putting their finger in the dyke so slow things down a little.

Im officially done with this game.. if these guys cant make the deadline then they should have never made a date.. especially delaying it even further everytime it gets even close to release. I urge people to do the same.. Midway is cool, but this is rediculous.

This is what happens when you attempt to port from the 360. Now, even the PC games have been suffering. Haze, an FPS, was canned for the PC. Now that we honestly think about it, who was TRULY trying to be different from everyone else?

    eh Haze is a PS3 game..not a 360 game..

hey GINGO!! RENT lair first, i bought, and it is pretty bad. The visuals and everything, and story are superb. but the controls are what is bringing this titles down, they are not like HORRIBLE, but they need to be tweaked a little more, and the camera angles while playing need to be tweaked..

oh, and that cool part about throwing your big chain thing to latch on to other dragons, killing the rider and dragon, and then jumping off. yeah, that doesnt happen....

ps3 is new and hard to develope for, would u rather it came out on time and be another madden, delay is probably due to them fixing it and improving it, u ppl jump to stupid conclusions

This game is probably a piece of s*** anyway. I don't want it. I'm sick of companies screwing PS3 owners over. It's bull****. I hope more PS3 owners DON'T BUY THIS GAME. If you buy it all you're saying is "hey, we don't care if you screw us over, we're still going to buy it." That sends a message to companies that they can delay games endless amounts of times and get away with it.
