Mercenaries 2 delayed until 2008

Electronic Arts’ upcoming sandbox title, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, will be missing its planned 2007 release date.
While no official date been set, a UK EA representative said in a statement to TVG, that "[we] can confirm it will be next year."
This isn't necessarily a bad thing - while Pandemic Studio's next iteration in the Mercenaries series looks promising, it did seem to need a tad bit of polishing in some areas. Additionally, it might have gotten lost in the tidal wave of titles that is this upcoming holiday season. Several titles such as D3's Dark Sector have been pushed to early '08 in an effort not to get lost in the crowd.
We'll have more news on Mercenaries 2: World in Flames when it's available.

ARGH! With all these games getting pushed back to 08, it's going to be more like Christmas come spring. It's almost getting to the point that games have a better chance this holiday season with all the pushbacks. This just adds to my theory that games should always include the subtitle: Will Be Delayed.
