Sony Computer Entertainment estimated that the price of the Blu-ray disc version of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue will clock in at 45 Euros, reports Dutch website PS3Only.

Sony emphasized that GT5 Prologue, just like Warhawk, is a full game in itself, and that its price will reflect that. The game will come with 40 cars, 5 tracks and 16 person online multiplayer, Sony promises that the game will be worth the purchase price.

SCE also confirmed a feature known as "GT TV" for our Europeon friends, which will allow the downloading of car themed TV shows, localized to your country.

The game is scheduled for release this December.

Ouch!!! 45euros!!!! This is just a demo of GT5 right? Not that I expected it to be free, but they did say it might be a free download. If this is more then a $20 download price in the US, they are in for some flaming!!!!!!!

From the article on PSU on 25th August :

We contacted SCEI, and they said

"Yes, it will be free for download on the PSN, and we are thinking of charging---but doubt it. For now it is free."

This is so much more than a demo. Demo's don't include 40 cars, 5 tracks, and multiplayer. I think the price is really fitting, and I'm willing to bet the PS store version will be cheaper

There was an article sometime back that they said they "Quoted" Mr. Yamauchi stating that GT5 Prologue is goin to be free. I know it was talkin about on the PS Store but if they are charging 45 Euros for the disc i doubt the PS Store download will be free.

Ok, anyone else think this $h!# is wack?  Considering new games retail for $60 and 45 euros is $62 USD, why would anyone buy this "demo" prologue when all anyone is going to want to spend that much money on is the actuall game. Unless they're stupid andor can't wait for something that's only going to be better in the end. Sorry, but 50 cars or so and what, 5 tracks?  That ain't worth more than 5 bucks or maybe, and I do mean "maybe" 9.95. DAMN!

yea...the BR disc costs about 25$ (single layer) +covers etc. that makes it free on PSN or 9.99$ :) thats worth it...
