Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that the PlayStation Eye will be released across Europe on November 7, priced at GBP 24.99.
The accessory will come complete with a copy of editing suite EyeCreate, which allows users to produce their own pictures, videos and audio files before saving them to the PlayStation 3’s hard drive.
It also forms an integral part of the Eye of Judgement bundle, which will be released on October 26. Consumers who purchase this will be able to claim their copy of EyeCreate from the PlayStation Store via the use of a special code.
PlayStation Eye features four-times the resolution and twice the frame rate of its PS2 predecessor, EyeToy, and also includes a microphone, removing the need for an external headset.

Would it be too much to ask for a price conversion in parenthesis?

Crikey!!! The price of this in Oz is THREE times more than Europe!!! How does that factor? The Eyetoy is very popular down under, I thot we would've gotten this for less that AU$60! I can't believe how much we get ripped off down here! I'm sure Europe has higher tax fees and all that jazz than Oztralia!!! How are these in the US?
