Capcom has officially announced that Lost Planet: Extreme Condition will be heading to the PlayStation 3 some time in early 2008.
Originally released on the Xbox 360 and PC, the PS3 version is set to include all available downloadable content on a single Blu-ray disk, including the extra characters seen in the PC version. Furthermore, the game will support online multiplayer for up to 16 players.
UPDATE:
As hinted at earlier, several more announcements have also come to light from the press event today in London:
Street Fighter 4 has been confirmed and is currently in development for unknown consoles; expect more details towards the end of the week.
A new IP, Dark Void, was also unveiled, but no specific platform(s) were mentioned. Again, stay tuned for further information as soon as we get it.

I'm disappointed anyone else with me. From the reviews this is an average game. Will they improve the graphics and gameplay I highly doubt it. The news they're going to release later in the week needs to be better than this garbage but this is my opinion. EDIT The countdown was not for Lost Planet but for Street Fighter4: A New Beginning. Go to www.capcom-unity.com to see for yourself it will not show on the PS3 browser for some unknown reason. Will Street Fighter 4 be 2D or 3D? I'm more curious about Dark Void though.

Good face capcom. They have redeemed themselves parially. I think they may be owning up to their multiplatform claims. If true they regained my respect.

Wait a minute. Capcoms 3 biggest franchises, DMC, RE and MH, all Playstation exclusive go multiplatform and for all our loyal supprot over the years, in return we get Lost Planet. I am now more p*ssed than I was when I read that MH3 was going to the Wii. Lost Platet is a good game, I've played it but its no AAA title and a game that should be now on the PS3 or at least announced it some time ago that it was coming to PS3 this year.
No wonder Capcom's forums are down, too many angry posters expressing how they feel.
If SFIV isn't a PS3 exclusive which it probably will be a muliplatform game, Capcom better announce that RE5 will be exclusive to PS3 in their next announcements, I won't accept anything less now.
