Bethesda Softworks has denied reports that the upcoming Fallout 3 is due out on September 9 this year, asserting that a final release date for the post-apocalyptic title has yet to be determined.
The company was responding to a supposed list of forthcoming PlayStation 3 titles issued to retailers by Sony, claiming that the game would hit shelves in early September.
However in response to this, Bethesda spokesperson, Pete Hines, told CVG: "Sept. 9 isn't the release date. The release date is Fall 2008. Until you see something official from us on when the game will be out, take any date you see from anyone with large grains of salt.”

Sept. 9 has been the release date since January for retailers. We won't get a release date until late summer anyway so I'm going with the thought of Sept 9.
If they do, in fact, get the game out Fall 2008, there's only 2 months MAX for a different release date.
