Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has announced that God of War: Chains of Olympus will be released in the region on March 27, 2008.

In addition, the company also revealed that the upcoming PlayStation Portable exclusive would ship in a special bundle package containing a copy of the game and a Silver Slim & Lite PSP console.

Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the God of War series, which made its debut on Sony’s PlayStation 2 console in 2005. Players will once again assume the role of Kratos, as he embarks on yet another perilous journey against overwhelming odds plucked from the bowls of ancient Greek mythology.
