As an early Easter present the Digi-Guys sent us the first Wardevil poster of a series that will be released periodically throughout 2008.
According to the developers over at Digi-Guys, the Wardevil: Unleash the Beast Within posters will start to develop some of the style and mood that'll be a part of the game. For those of you who don't know already, Wardevil is a PS3 exclusive and is set to hit sometime near the end of 2008 or possibly early 2009.
The game will feature an all new game engine called, RTE1080, which allows for 60fps animations and 1080p resolutions. As you may have seen in our last screenshot update, the game also features high resolution textures.
Some details the developers have told us:
- They are not finished with the game yet, still adding improvements both gameplay wise and graphically.
- They are making good use of the SPU's and streaming off of the Blu-ray disc
- Their goal is to get the Blu-ray film & game to look as identical as possible...so there is no transition between game/cinematic
Here is the first Wardevil poster:
Stay tuned to PSU.com for all of your Wardevil updates.

Ha ha ha! Yes! I just can't wait for this game. I'm really liking that fact that so many new IP's that are being released on the Playstation 3. Something about this game reminds me of God of War. If this game is going to be similar to God of War, it sure does have some BIG shoes to fill. I'm pretty sure that Wardevil will give God of War 3 a run for it's money.
When I went to Wikipedia the release date for Wardevil was 2009... but as we all know that may not be accurate but on Gamestops website they have Wardevil listed for early 2009 just like God of War 3. I'm thinking that it wont come out until 2009. The PS3 is already jam packed with enough blockbuster games for 2008, I think that Digi-Guys should save this game for 2009.

Always interested to see what a new developer can bring to the table. Clearly they're well funded (don't seem to be too rushed to release this) so fingers crossed they know how to tune gameplay to perfection as well as they do graphics engines and art.
