Recent rumours have suggested that Activision is planning to close its Underground Development studio, formally known as Z-Axis. The publisher has now confirmed this and has revealed that the studio will be closing in May.
UD is currently working on the PlayStation 3 version of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, which is due for release on May 30, 2008. Its development will not be effected by this announcement, as the team will be closing after production is complete.
A spokesperson for Activision said; “Activision is closing its Foster City development studio which had less than 45 employees, we are currently making efforts to find opportunities for all employees at other Activision studios.”

This doesn't sound good for activision and less promising for quake wars, but they couldn't of chosen a worse date to sell thier game, most people will be too busy with gta4 and haze, and others saving thier money for mgs4!
