Rockstar has announced the release of a downloadable album by musician DJ Green Lantern, featuring various music tracks from and inspired by the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto IV.

The album, titled Liberty City Invasion: Music From and Inspired by Grand Theft Auto IV, will be available to download from various outlets including Amazon.com from May 20, with "with a physical release coming soon".

Fans of the game will recognise Lantern as The Evil Genius DJ from in-game music radio station, The Beat.

He commented, “for the biggest video game title to solicit me to create exclusive music is something most people could only dream about, it's like a graduation,” stating Rockstar "understood what I bring to the table as far as not just presenting music, but creating music".

Ok, how about we stop glorifying rap so much and give it a little rock n roll taste as well, just because there are only two rock stations in the game and you have to listen to rap and r&b to be cool nowadays.  Rock should still get the respect it deserves.

DON'T WANNA BUY IT! WHY? That's right, there's too many RAP!!! Where's my Queen"One Vision", Miles Davis"Move", and Duke Ellington"Take The A Train"? I think the radio station in GTA4 are a lot worse than San Andreas and Vice City. San Andreas "FreeBird" and Vice City "Billie Jean" are the greatest radio station moment that I never get in GTA4!!!
