Atari announced today that development of its forthcoming survival horror epic, Alone in the Dark, has now been completed, with the game due out on PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii later this month.
The highly anticipated horror outing pits gamers in the shoes of Edward Carnby as he investigates a series of supernatural disturbances in and around New York’s Central Park area.
The game will also be heading to the PlayStation 3 in Autumn 2008.
Infogrames President, Phil Harrison, commented: “With its genre-busting mix of gameplay, wide-screen presentation style and DVD chapter select feature putting the player in control, Alone in the Dark will thrill all gamers.”
“It’s a game which will challenge the player but also reward them with a one-of-a-kind videogame experience and a huge amount of fun.”
Alone in the Dark is due out on June 20 in Europe, with a North American release following on June 24.

I was going to wait for this game to hit the PS3, but if they aren't going to put anything special in there because of the delay, I can't justify buying it at full price. I'll probably wait until it drops to $40.

Any bets that it won't be since the developers are taking more time on the PlayStation 3 version?
