According to the official GRID forums, Codemasters has released the v1.1 patch for download. This patch was created to fix a variety of issues that gamers have experienced within the gameplay as well as issues taking place during network races. We've included a small list from the detailed lineup of fixes below.
- Several optimisations and performance improvements.
- It is now possible to look left and right while in bonnet camera.
- Fix for a hang when selecting a gear outside the gears available on the vehicle (this was possible with H-Shifter)
- Fix for cars very occasionally flying into the air when hitting kerbs.
- Fixes for custom action maps
- Track rendering optimisations.

This is a great game guys, especially for the drifting in Japan - easily the best part. But its fun to buy and sell cars on eBay, and choose what sponsors you want and how to customize your cars. It is a good game... GT5 wont be out till next year so as far as I am concerned, unless you get 1 game a year, then get this!

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is what I'm waiting for. I don't care for this one, didn't even for the demo too much either.

I have bought every Grand tuurismo game. I was a die hard fan loved them all. But when I got GT5 I was very disapionted, Because you couldnt build your car, And I"m used to having 300 cars instead of 30.

Of course i play this on the 360 and have no problem's. Grid is one of the best racing experience's i have encountered even better than Forza and PGR and Dirt.

Come on guys this game is perfect, its from the series TOCA, albeit they dropped the name from this one, wouldnt of thought it needed a patch it runs brilliant, alot better and faster than Gran Turismo prologue anyway with no slow down. the only thing i would like to see is a rear view mirror on the bonnet cam.

It is a great game but I'm afraid it's not perfect. Try racing a GT1 car (eg. DBR9) at the Milano Corsa (the long one with the Cathederal). There's a massive slowdown, the frame rate takes a huge hit and maybe down to 15fps if I guess correctly (I'm on n 80gb PS3). And it's a know fact that it looks better on the 360 than the PS3. Another thing that need fixing is the online races that would sometime cause system crash.
