Still finding PixelJunk Monsters too difficult?

It's no secret that gamers have complained about the default difficulty behind the Q-Games sensation PixelJunk Monsters. With most players crying foul on how difficult the game can be even with a teammate, it comes as no shock that a patch will be released that includes difficulty settings. This turn of events came to fruition due to an open email sent by the guys over at TheBBPS to Dylan Cuthbert, executive producer at Q-Games.
Within the email, a BBPS writer jokingly stated that his wife was finding the difficulty curve of PJM to be too drastic for the casual gamer. Luckily for them, Cuthbert agreed and has stated that difficulty settings will find their way to the title within a free patch. For those of you who enjoy the online ranking system, you'll be pleased to know that changing the difficulty will result in your online score not qualifying.
Also, Cuthbert hinted towards a new gameplay mode that will spice up Q-Games other smash hit, PixelJunk Eden. He stated that the controls "are too much fun to waste on just one set of game rules."

This is good news, i got PJM Encore and when i got it i told myself that i would beat each level (wether its rainbowed or not) and then i would play the new island... and to this day, i still regret saying that :( I also hope they add trophies, PJM deserves it.

I'm glad to hear this. I really liked the game but just could not do it. And it sucked not being able to play it when I wanted too.

We've successfully completed the original PJM with my girlfriend. And we didn't find it too difficult or whatever, we even got almost all rainbows. And then I bought Encore... now that was crazy. We managed to complete only like 4-5 stages, and I'm not talking about rainbows here :) We couldn't even make ourselves play further, as it was too damn hard, so I'm really looking forward to downloading the patch :)

I've completed all but the final level on PJM and most have rainbows above them. It's not that I can't really do the final level because the game is based upon trial and error which is easy but annoying and takes alot of time and I ended up getting bored of it by then which is why I didn't bother buying encore. I still love playing Super Stardust though, I just can't get enough of that game!!!!!
