TimeSplitters 4 eschews Haze engine, TS2 HD remake hinted

TimeSplitters 4 details have been few and far between since its official reveal, but the folks at PSM3 (PlayStation 3 Magazine) have snagged a few details on the upcoming shooter.
According to Derek Littlewood of Free Radical, TimeSplitters 4 won't utilize the heavily-criticized Haze graphics engine. Instead, Free Radical opted for some "new and double shiny tech."
While this all sounds good, the game is still early on in the development cycle, and won't see the light of day for a while. What may come a bit sooner, if PSM3 is to be believed, is a TimeSplitters 2 remake in HD, which would most likely be released on the PlayStation Network. It would certainly get folks excited about the new TimeSplitters, that's for sure.

@5 I never played the 1st game but 2 and 3 were great. I would definetly buy this HD version.and the TP for PS3 will be fu*king great.I just hope we get it in 09 !!

ohh man i would so buy TS2:HD day one. awesome game. granted ya id prefer TS:FP remade in HD, but TS2 will do. def get my hype up for TS4 :D

Timesplitters2 HD with online multiplayer features would definetly be interesting. Managed to get 100% completion but it doesnt matter too much since all I really need is my main char (undead priest) and couble of P90:s and boxes of bullets :D
