Activision has confirmed that progressive metal band Tool will be contributing to three songs in the publisher’s forthcoming music simulation title, Guitar Hero World Tour.
Formed in Los Angeles, California in the early 1990s, Tool have gone on to sell upwards of 13 million albums worldwide, and are known for their lengthy compositions and intricate musical arrangements.
As part of their inclusion in Guitar Hero: World Tour, the group will offering three songs for players to enjoy; Parabola and Schism, from the 2001 album Lateralus, and Vicarious from their most recent album, 10,000 Days. There's also talk of them having collaborated on an all-new venue for the hotly anticipated sequel.
Lastly, World Tour also marks the videogame debut of rock legend Sting (real name Gordon Sumner), with players able to perform on stage with the legendary Police bassist as he runs through the classic hit “Demolition Man,” or take control as him as an aspiring vocalist.
Guitar Hero: World Tour is due out later this year.

I just cancelled RB2 preorder and pre-ordered GHWT because of this. I already have RB1 but I can not pass up 3 Tool songs by going with GHWT instead. I like the slider type thing with the GHWT guitar and the separate 5th drum input on HGWT too but I was not going to convert over because of them. This just tipped the scale though.
