Guitar Hero World Tour deluxe bundle is $240

Want to spend $50 on a t-shirt (Male XL only), battery charger, key chain and (Guitar Hero) guitar case? Yeah, neither do I, but that's what Red Octane is offering with the $240 Guitar Hero World Tour Deluxe Band Bundle.

The rest of the bundles are a bit more reasonable, though the price tag won't seem so appealing to Rock Band owners who can buy the backward-compatible sequel for only $60. With that in mind, here are the prices for World Tour.

      * $190 for the full band kit on PS3.
      * $180 for the full band kit on PS2.
      * $100 for the guitar/game bundle on PS3.
      * $90 for the guitar/game bundle on PS2.

Well, there you have it. Are you still going to participate in the Guitar Hero World Tour festivities, or will you hold out for Rock Band 2? Let us know in the comments section below.

    There is this gaming competition in Denmark going on right now, and one of the prices is GH:WT for PS3. Then it says something like: "Get this cool prize which is worth 2500 DDK".

    And... I got RB instrument edition plus software for around 1500... So it seems like Wourld Tour is going to be mighty expensive. I guess that settles it: RB2 for me (when it finally launches in EU... a year?)

    Guitar Hero on Tour Deluxe. Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass. With $150 added to that price I can buy a new PS3. Besides, there's no Trophy support so I'll be buying Rock Band 2. There should be no excuses for a current game not to have Trophy support. The SDK have been out long enough.

    @ Stentoft

    I can't remember complaining anywhere, but to say GH:WT is much more expensive than RB. But I will complain now, that we're paying 300$ for something most people only pay 150$ (isn't it)!

    It's the same with standard games, you guys pay 60$, but we pay something like 110$ >:(

    definitely worth the $190 it's gonna be so much better than rock band even if the setlist isn't.

    I am going to pass on this like I have for all the rock bands. I'm not willing to pay near $200 for one video game. It is understandable why the price is so high for the entire set but I still don't value the game enough to pay that much. It is fun but not for very long. I get more value out of a good shooter or RPG.

    This link above shows you what all instuments are compatible, I believe all have been tested to this point.  But it isnt just a breakdown, its a console specific  chart of what everything is compatible with.  (BTW, I understand this will triple post, but blame the moderators/admins, I have asked time and time again for a solution, but PSU is becomeing bigger than its people.)

    And for a bit more loot I can get a 360.  Do these guys think we're made of money?

    OK, it's official. Red Octane stereotypes gamers. Look at that! XL Only??? Not all gamers are fat! Most people that I know of wear M. That would be much better of a size choice. SERIOUSLY.

    @Triple DK - I was not referring to a complaint from you, sorry. What I meant was that people should not complain about 190$, when we in Denmark have to pay 300$ for the exact same product... And yes as you said, new ps3 games cost 110$ here... Thats just not fear...
