SOCOM: Confrontation delayed in Europe

According to Eurogamer, PlayStation 3 squad-shooter SOCOM: Confrontation will not be released in Europe until early 2009.
Reports come in light of several retailers listing the game down for release today, though Sony has confirmed that the game will indeed not be seeing the light of day this side of Christmas.
Hopefully, Sony will use the extra time to iron out a few of the bugs that plagued the U.S. version at launch.

This game isnt bad i just got it for the headset and never ever played socom before. I needed teh headset cus teh one with Warhawk sux but i love Warhawk. Latley i have booted up socom because some friends of mine play it. I have to say that there are some glitches mainly lag and popup but it is a good game. I do enjoy it but Warhawk is still my favourite multiplayer ps3 game.

hee gunteng,. your fps thinking, SUCKS, socom is an traditional 3ps so shut up and do some research first.
socom is the best online game ever, its beats every stupid cod game (althought) cod 4 was the best of the cod's but still it's a stupid rush game don't like those very much.
why why why did they push socom's release back like 4 times, it's already out in the us, and people can buy it here anyway so just bring it out and make some money for those patches

I've been a socom fan long before you could wipe your own backside. So until you learn to talk without spewing effluence, be quiet you pleb.
You have to love all you little pizza faced teens that hate on the Socom FPS fans and claim it never had an FPS mode. XD
Hilarious.
Socom has always had an FPS mode until Confrontation.
Anyone who played any previous iteration would have known that if they ever tried to scope in from 3rd person.

I started out playing Socom1 in FPS as a challenge to myself, and believe me, it is far from horrible.
You get a heck of a lot more excitement from the old FPS view and need to play very tactically & use your head. And believe me, there is no FPS out there that feels like Socom in FPS.....the character movements and lean/peek. Even if some games have a better FPS view, they lack so many other elements that makes Socom what it is....the best online tactical shooter around.
For me, nothing can replace Socom in FPS and Socom without it is just horrible for me. Socom had so much more than every other game, from lean/peek, community orientation, player options and one of its biggest bonuses.....being an FPS & 3PS which allowed everyone to play the game in a way that suited them.

gunteng the lean/peak feature is rubbish due to six axis being slow to respond, but since you play in FP to increase accuracy the over shoulder view isn't a bad compromise. Had my copy off ebay for a while now and I really am starting to get that addiction back. You should look on there I got mine in just 2 days from a uk based importer.
