Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has officially become the first ever single title to gross one billion USD in sales. Legends of Rock, which launched on every platform imaginable, owes its success in large part to the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.
According to Activision, users have downloaded an outrageous amount of content for the game, with over 21 million total songs downloaded across all GH games to date. On top of strong profits for Activision-Blizzard, artists appearing on the game have seen sales increase 15 percent, according to Nielsen Data.
We'd like to send our congratulations out to Activision and look forward to what they have left up their sleeves for the franchise.

I only wish they would still release song packs for GH3.
Since the release of GH World tour they no longer release new ones for GH3.
