Skate 2 requires 2GB of HDD space

2008 was definitely the year of the install above all else. With installs coming from all fronts that ranged from 1GB to 8GBs, owners of Sony's 20-40GB console were left with some serious deletion decisions to make. It seem as though this non-trendy, trend will make its way into 2009 as well. On the brink of release, MTV Multiplayer has unfortunately revealed that Electronic Arts' Skate 2 features a modest 2GB install.
While this may be no big deal to those who've already upgraded their HDD or are done with Devil May Cry 4; those who are PlayStation Network download junkies may have to remove an arcade title or two. Sadly, that's the cost in order to make room for what is expected to be another stellar installment into the series.

Upgrade to a 320 gig hard drive its cheap(ish) and easy, Western Digital Scorpion drive £49.99 and a 10-20 minute swap time (plus 2 - 5 hour back up time). If its done properly you lose nothing, I have kept all my game saves, downloads, game updates, settings etc. www.amazon.co.uk/320GB-Scorpio-WD3200BEVT-SATA-5400rpm/dp/B0013E0A0M/ref=sr_1_4

Just waiting to take delivery, what with Home reserving 3 gigs space, wwe smackdown v`s raw 2009 reserving 3 gigs space NOT including its install patch, PlayTV for TV recordings, Skate 2 2 gigs, Linux about 10 gigs, GTA IV 4 gigs. It all adds up, i have 15 PS3 games on disk plus a few from the store, then Burnout Paradise and its future DLC, yeah go now and upgrade.
@ mayhemmusic, a friend of mine has just purchased the same 320 gigs HD from Amazon, hmm coincidence ?

KILLZONE 2 DOES NOT NEED AN INSTALL!
and this POS does!?!?! F you EA, I am not buying this game now. Guerilla are getting my money because they can make a game that looks amazing and DOESN'T NEED TO INSTALL 2GB's of worthless data!

first of all, people who are mad about installs need to calm down. installs are a good thing since it cuts down loading times and preserves the life of your optical drive.
second of all, skate 2 kind of sucks. i loved the first one, but after playing the skate 2 demo i will not be buying this game. it brings nothing new other than walking which is implimented poorly.
