Bethesda has said that it currently has no plans to release a patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 allowing users to explore the game world following completion of the main quest.
Users have voiced their complaint over the fact the game does not currently allow players to explore the environment after the main quest is finished, leaving all manner of side missions unresolved.
Fortunately for PC and Xbox 360 owners this issue will soon be fixed with the arrival of downloadable content, though it appears PlayStation 3 owners will not be receiving the same treatment.
When asked whether or not a post-ending patch will be made available for the PS3 version of popular RPG, Bethesda told MTV Multiplayer, “Not at this time, no.”
We’ll keep you posted on any developments.

Thank God I didn't buy this bugfest of a game. At least now I have an even better reason not to.
DLC is one thing, a "patch" is an entirely different matter. Regardless of m$ paying for DLC, this update really would have come in handy for those wanting to complete it 100%. Why would anybody willingly not support their own game? Makes no sense. -

If anyone wonders why a certian third party titles sell better on the 360, it just might be due to developer attitudes like this. The seem to have chosen thier base and the PS3 fans just got pimped.

Bethesda get your crap straight. I liked Oblivion and Fallout 3. In fact I am a huge fan but this is crap. Just because I own a PS3. Get real. I will never buy another game from you if this issue isn't resolved. In fact I will participate in any ban against you.

Hmm..is it not possible to load a pre ending save? I understand if you only have one save that this would be annoying... but the fewest peolple use on save. I might not know all the facts though since I only have the game on PC.
But since it sold over a million copies on the PS3.. they should accept that they have the obligation to support the platform.

anyone here who isn't getting this game for this reason only is a complete and total moron. Fallout 3 is an amazing game without the patch. Yeah it would be nice to have it but its not a big deal to save before you do the last mission and do the side quests. This game was one of the best experiences i've had on the PS3 to date so you babies need to get over it. You should be used to getting screwed over on our system anyways by now...

This really is outrageous. There's absolutely no point in excluding PS3 owners from this patch, it's not like it would take much to implement and would simply prolong the life of the game. But then again, seeing as they're not releasing any DLC for the PS3 copy it doesn't matter to them, as long as they've sold the game, that's all the money they'll make from it. It makes me sick.

i think its disgusting people have payed for this game (me one of them)and they make most of there profits on the ps3 game sales then screw us over,if anything ps3 should be first priority.if this is what happens when i buy multi plat games i wont bother again.
if they just came out and said we cant cause microsoft payed for it then i would have respect for them.
