Universal Studios Home Entertainment is slowly but surely bringing its redundant HD DVD catalog over to Sony's successful Blu-ray format. On March 31, Universal will release the Riddick films, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, on Blu-ray with 1080p VC-1 video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks. These were highly regarded as two of the most technically impressive HD DVD releases, so hopefully their transition to Blu-ray will be up to snuff.

HD DVD was the best before, Blu-Ray wasn't complete and lacking evrything, it wasn't because of Blu-ray some achivement like higher capacity that tip the balance but money who did it  don't forget that. Toshiba have a mucher higher fiability than Sony could ever imagine or grab it. But still have some decent products.

Mmm, interesting. I dun know if I'll get this or not... as I own them both plus the anime movie in a box set on DVD. I love ridd!ck, but I'm not a fan of spending a big bunch of cash on movies I already own on DVD.

Hooray for Pitch Black. I'd buy it but it'd cost me as much as a Platinum game. Drop Blu Ray prices dang it.
