God of War III to include ideas "too ambitious" for past games

SCEA Santa Monica’s Cecil Kim has revealed that God of War III will incorporate a host of ideas and features that were originally conceived for God of War and its sequel, but ultimately ended up on the cutting room floor as they were considered “too ambitious.”
"Things that I am excited about [with] GOW III is that we are introducing so many new gameplay mechanics that were initially pitched during the production of God of War I [and] II,” Kim posted on his blog.
"Some ideas being too ambitious to be executed years ago, only remain in our heads. Now I see Kratos doing things that were from our wishlist. We came a long long way to make this one all come together."
Moving on, Kim confirmed that the footage seen in last week’s trailer was indeed running in real-time: "Looking good is [one] thing, it needs to play better first, and I am just blown [away] by how much stuff we are packing into the game,” he said.

i just bought a ps2 and god of war 2 again cuz the trailer and the whole hype surrounding this game is so great.

o yea no doubt this game is going to be the best game of '09. and i agree it does need to play better first. cause looking good dont mean sh1t. but a game that looks good and plays amazing is just asking to be one of the bests of the bests. but i will say i am kinda nervous bout it cuz so much hype is goin on bout this game and i dont want it to be less than great. i want it to be once i turn it on and start playin i nut in my pants, lol. thats wat i want. h3ll i want playing gow3 to be better than sex, lol. dayum i cant wait for this game to come out.

This franchise f-ing rules the action genre. Things are only improving heavily with God Of War III.
