Capcom has declared that the publisher is expecting Street Fighter IV to prove a considerable financial success as the beat ‘em up draws ever closer to its European launch this Friday.
“If buzz and anticipation equates to sales then we have very high expectations commercially,” a company rep told VG247. “We’re tremendously excited to be launching Street Fighter IV this Friday.”
“It’s the return of the most loved, most played, most bought and most copied fighting game of all time,” the rep added.
“And Street Fighter IV is the best Street Fighter yet.”
The company will be hosting a special launch event at the flagship HMV store in Oxford Street, London, where Street Fighter heavy weight Zak Bennet will attempt to smash the record for the most consecutive wins.
UK fans would do well to turn up to the gig, as the first person to subject Bennet to a thorough whopping will receive a 48” TV set and home cinema surround sound system.

Strange that Killzone 2's been marked down more for not innovating when it innovates a heck of a lot more than SF IV.

What is even more strange is how every single news item here has to have at least one post about Killzone 2 even if it has nothing to do with that game.

Were you sad that T. Hawk and Dee Jay were not included into Street Fighter IV, well so are the developers and apparently if the fans make enough noise they just might include them after all. So what are you waiting for Sign the Petition already!!!

Picked up my copy yesterday. Its the best fighting game I've ever played. This is one game that actually exceeded all the hype and expectations. Even on PSN(which in my experience so far is a lagfest) the game plays lag free, even if the connection isn't that great. Couldn't ask for more. Oh, and even though the install on this is optional, it cuts the load times in half. Yes the one game where the install actually makes a huge difference.

They should have high expectations. It did well first week in Japan so we will see how it does here in the US.
