From the depths of Obsidian Entertainment springs Alpha Protocol, an action RPG where combat and meaningful, interactive conversations play out in real time. You're Michael Thorton, a highly skilled government operative trained to eliminate threats to national security.

Although the game looks great, Alpha Protocol runs on the Unreal Engine, which is a bit worrying to some PlayStation gamers (ourselves included). We've just contacted Obsidian to clarify which platform the game is leading on, so we'll let you know when we hear back.

The first Alpha Protocol gameplay trailer, dubbed 'Choices,' has just emerged on GameTrailers TV. Check it out right here.

Am i the only one that saw a horribly looking game that looks waay worse than some of the better looking ps2 games ? Not to mention the most horrible animations i've seen since....well, ever ?

It may still be in Alpha or something though, but they have a lot of work to do, a lot.

Good, I thought I was the only one. Same as Wheelman, I can't believe Ubisoft is publishing that piece of ****. The UE should be made illegal. The only GOOD game I've heard of that uses UE is Bioshock, and that one sucks on PS3. Anyway, just skip this game.

What's with all the hate for the Unreal Engine?? You guys have absolutely no idea what the f*** your talking about.  It's popular for a reason, and just because the PS3 ports aren't as good as all the others only speaks on behalf of the dev's producing the game, and not just the engine. Besides, it's not like crappy ports are anything new to the PS3, it's all the system had for a year and a half. There are still devs that refuse to work on anything for the PS3, Valve comes to mind there, and they are great devs too.

True, but at least Valve doesn't use the Unreal Engine, they use something crappier, the Source Engine. And about the "great devs" part, I think a lot of people will agree with me that L4D sucks a**.

This game really looks awesome. I hope the "choice" idea plays out more then passed games with that element. The Pitt looks good too!
