Bethesda has announced it will be releasing two novels based on its highly successful Elder Scrolls franchise later this year.
Both works are being penned by New York Times’ Greg Keyes, the first of which coming in the form of The Infernal City, due out this autumn.
Set after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the novel centres on a mysterious floating city that casts a malevolent shadow over the land of Tamriel, transforming anyone caught in its path into the undead. Enter a teenaged girl named Annaig, who teams up with the Emperor’s son, Prince Attrebus, to subvert the evil doings and restore peace to the kingdom.
Bethesda’s Pete Hines commented: We've been big fans of Greg's work for a long time, and we're thrilled he agreed to bring his talents to The Elder Scrolls," adding, We see these books as a natural extension of the franchise and think fans will love the stories and characters Greg has created."
Details on the second novel have yet to be revealed.

lol , yes sounds lame, they need to make another elder scrolls, have it online. if oblivion had online, that would be even more awesome. i even liked oblion when i got it and i thought 40 bucks was to low for the game still. most games that suck stay at 60 bucks and there not as good as oblivion.

I think I was the only person in high school reading books for fun. People kept asking me if I was reading my books (Warhammer 40000) for a class. They didn't understand that I read them FOR FUN. These books could be interesting and I might get them.
I graduated in 2007. It's amazing how addicted to electronics and lazy my generation is.

Sweet!! Loved the games, and would love to read a book about them.
Hopefully they release a game soon and don't have the book move the story forwards.

@10,
No, The Elder Scrolls does not need online. Go play WoW
