Radical: Prototype delay means original vision is a reality

Radical Entertainment’s Tim Bennison has claimed that the firm’s decision to delay Prototype into 2009 has meant that eager punters will now be able to experience the ambitious project’s “original vision.”
“Prototype came with a really big original vision and scope,” Bennison told VG247. “That meant we really needed a decent amount of time to pack this game with content, missions, powers, enemies, and polish that it deserved, so the move to 2009 has helped make that a reality.”
Despite admitting that the game will come up against some tough competition, Bennison feels that the superpower driven sandbox romp has more than what it takes to stand shoulder to shoulder with the cream of the crop this summer.
“There are many great games coming out in 2009, in both the action categories and the open world categories, though we’ve also got competition from Hollywood this summer as well,” he said.
“As long as we do our job correctly by showing the game to the public as much as possible, and highlighting all of the cool unique powers, upgrades, and challenges, then we’ll feel great about standing-out amongst the competition this summer.”
Prototype will be unleashing its powers on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in June 2009.

Original vision?? Does that mean the inclusion of MUTILPLAYER again???? Oh god I hope so!!! He//s yes! This game has so much more going for it then Infamous. Infamous looks generic and repetitive. Graphics are great but that doesn't make a game awesome on that alone. Prototype>Infamous. End of story.

All games releasing for the PS3 are going to have trophy support from now on. Just like the 360 and achievements. Just expect it.

@8 kiss my a55 byeotch. Let's see, in Infamous you can shoot lightning, climb up walls, uh..... shoot more lightning and uhh.... use lightning to shoot at things. Wow, talk about the innovative and creative use of the ps3's hardware and software development. MGS4 and LBP were prime examples of games that really showcased the creativity and versatility that the PS3 is capable of in a game when the developers actually take the time to create a unique and awesome experience. I'm leaving out Killzone 2 because, just like Infamous, it's not a unique game. These two games are just souless games that are used to show off the graphics the PS3 is capable of. I could come up with a better story and ideas for both KZ2 and Infamous in the matter of a day. Granted, I'll play the demo of Infamous but at $60 for a GTA meets Force Unleashed clone, no thanks. I'll save my money for Prototype. So, get the sand out of your vagina, PS3 poster fanboy.
