With the 'Prototype vs. inFamous' debate constantly raging in our comment section and forum, we thought we'd ask Sucker Punch's co-founder and producer Brian Fleming what he thought of the topic.

"We’ve been so focused on making inFamous that we haven’t had time to think about other games or worry about debates," said Fleming. "Players will play what they play and enjoy what they enjoy. We’ve spent our time making inFamous as fun and engaging as we can. Arguments before games are released don’t matter. What matters are fun games, and we think inFamous can compete with anyone."

So there you have it -- judge the games when they come out, and play what you find fun. If that's the case, we have some sound advice for you: buy both!

Our full interview with Brian Fleming will be available soon.

it doesnt really matter kauze wen you think about it prototype is multi plat and infamous is ps3 exclusive

my point is that the ps3 sells both of these games xbox only sells one of them and its not exclusive so in other words Sony is the winner

Both games look good, only difference is that Prototype is rated M way more violent than Infamous. It's not a bad thing.

Both games have their own uniqeness.

Honestly, Prototype looks like it would get old in a matter of minutes. From what I've seen, the main objective is to destroy everything in sight and the rest is just an after thought...

Yes, this would get old faster than GTAIV.

that was a very smart statment and the demo definitely indicates the man speaks the truth

I bet Prototype will suck. Infamous just got a 9.2 on IGN, I preordered it months ago - I know it will rock.

I love when people say "buy both" because then I get so say things like "Are you going to buy them both for me? No? then 'eff off" only I dont say "eff". With that said, I might actually buy both in this case but only because they're only games and I can always find discounts or wait until one is half the price in a year. The onle I'll buy is the one that's exclusive to the system I bought rather than the multiplat that will probably be clittering shelves for years regardless of how well it sells innitially... also the one that gives me a beta code and free avatar outfits for Home.

I will certainly buy both.  I only think inFAMOUS will be better because I like the concept of climbing, and grinding around a huge open world exploring, and saving people with Electric powers.  I also think Projectile Electric powers trumps shapshifting any day of the week lol.

Meh. I cancelled my preorder after playing the Infamous demo. Very average. The gameplay was pretty generic and the graphics didnt impress me either. Theres way better games out there. As for Prototype I think that game looks like fun.

lol you can tell they're feeling the pressure from prototype.   and I think by 'any game' they really mean prototype

@14 I still think inFamous is a bit sub par, just becuase a reviewer gave it 9.2 doesnt mean my opionion is going to change.
