Only 25-30% of PSN users use Home more than once

At the Develop conference in Brighton, England, Home Director Peter Edward spoke on the benefits of advertising on and developing for PlayStation Home. There, he repeated the figure that seven million users have signed up for Home, three million of which are in Europe.
He also clarified that 25-30% of all PSN users have logged in to Home more than one time. The average amount of time European users have spent in a single session is 56 minutes. Meanwhile, Home content has been downloaded approximately six million times. While many items are free, Edward pointed out that Home is making money for the company. Exact figures were not released, but Sony plans on revealing that information later.
Edward also noted that 80 percent of Home users are males, with the primary age range of 18 to 35, which signifies a “slowly broadening appeal of the console market.”

Well for most anti socials its isn't that exciting but i get on atleast 2 to 3 times a week. Call me crazy but im into meeting up with new people and talking about gaming. More of the hard core sony fans really use it. Im more then fine with it. free spaces free games and game luanching and planing for games im good with that. The reason alot of people i find dont get on is becase of negative spins put on it like for example. (Only 7 million have logged into home so far) Ummmm only 7 million for a free service to atract 7 million that isn't to bad. And to restate the #1 post AaronSOLDIER makes a good point i bring up alot. When u turn on home it clearly states HOME Beta. It still isn't fully luanched and its still not even close to hitting its stride. In three years or so when its fully luanched and out of beta then we can talk. Till then people please stop complaining about free stuff. Home Rocks out with its Clock out

I probably have 30 hours in Home. I think the one way to promote use is to give TROPHIES for time spent and different actions.

Home is boring and dull and at the moment its nothing more than a graphical chat room for guys to meet manginas.
Sony needs to make Home more interesting. There also needs to be more than 6 starter pants and shirts. The games in home are stiff and downright boring... except bowling which is ok but supremly easy. Getting a perfect 300 is far too easy.
What Sony could do to improve Home is to make it more than just an advertmant for games. They need to add rooms where people can compete in boxing matches, racing, exploring, social games, professions etc.
I realize this is beta but I have been in over 30 betas since 1997 and I must admit betas are hardly different from the final product, except a few bugs.
Sony putting clothes and worthless items for sale so soon in this so called "beta" makes me feel that this "beta" is nothing more than a put on till they figure out what the h311 to do with home.
Hopefully they will turn things around and actually make Home worth using because at this point I would rather have cross game invites instead of Home. (Since its suppose to be a place to you launch games from as a group)
I can't help feel that Home robbed us of a good MMORPG/MMOFPS/etc. at the rate its going.

there's no need to defend the number, it's actually a really GOOD number.
Seriously think about it 17 million PSN accounts, 21 million PS3s.
25 to 30% of that is MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. You haters have officially been shut up. Home has plenty to do and gets new spaces every month so you can say wahtyou want about home but you're simply deluded, the huge number of people actually going there proves you wrong without having to say a word.

There's several reasons I use PS Home less time on:
1. Has a lot of nice features but it's boring
2. Nothing much to do in PS Home
3. A lot of weird people (I see some guys hitting on girls....even on PS Home, so sad...)
The only things I enjoy about PS Home are playing three nice games: Bowling, Pool, and Texas Hold'em poker.
