Comic publisher Top Cow Productions revealed during a panel at the San Diego Comic Con last week that a sequel to first-person horror romp The Darkness is in development.
Details on the follow up are sketchy at present, though it has been confirmed that the original game’s developer, Starbreeze Studios, is not attached to the project. Top Cow also divulged that movie adaptation is in the works, though concrete details are still underwraps.
The original game hit shops back in June 2007, with players hopping into the shoes of New York hitman Jackie Estacado, who was able to call upon the powers of ‘The Darkness’ to dispatch and dismember foes in all manner of visually satisfying manoeuvres.
PSU will have more news on the sequel as it breaks. Stay tuned.

Y'know, while the original was nothing to really get excited about, I'll admit that I had a pretty good time. Well, up until the "ending"...
