IGN reports that the latest issue of Japan’s Famitsu magazine has confirmed that a sequel to White Knight Chronicles is in development.
Sadly there’s not a lot to go on right now, with the publication neglecting to divulge much of any concrete info on the project, other than hinting at the return of protagonist Leonard.
Elsewhere, the magazine also details the new 2nd Wave update for the original White Knight Chronicles, which allows gamers to construct their own world utilizing the Georama social network. Paid avatars will also be introduced.
Interestingly enough, the celebrated RPG has yet to make it to western shores, with a firm release still to be determined. Rest assured, however, PSU will bring you all the latest info on the game (as well as its sequel) as it becomes available to us.

Hurry and bring out the western version for the game :(
I was also kind of hoping for Dark Cloud 3 to be in development :( Especially with the georama update, one would think it was definately in the works.
i guess the success in japan gave them the motivation for a sequel. looking forward to WKC1 anyways, no point getting hyped for a sequel when the original hasn't even left Japan >_<

The first WKC should be out in the first half of next year. I hope the wait for this game isn't as long as the first.

This game wasn't that well received. Drop the cash for Demon's Souls instead.

On topic: This news is cool.....good even, in Japan I am sure. Not so much for the rest of the world who have yet to play the first one.

@people saying it's not out, it's been out for ages in Japan /duh
I hope they make it in English at the same time for the sequel. Why they didn't for the first one is beyond me. This industry is run by idiots.
I'm glad they're finally realising that there is no reason to exclude console games from editing tools. Consoles are just PC's now anyway.
