Sony Europe has confirmed that it will be bolstering its PlayStation 3 Platinum line-up in the region with the addition of four new titles.

The console maker revealed that MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will all be inducted into the budget range, having each surpassed the 400.000 unit sales mark. As a result, punters will be able to pick up the titles for a wallet-friendly £19.99 GBP each.

No word in regards to a release date as of yet, though we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear of anything. Games already available on the European Platinum Range include The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

    All very good games.

I was bothered that Killzone 2 has copy protection on saves so I lost my data when i got a Slim. Really wish they would patch that like Capcom did with RE5.

    @ Noxia
Yeah, I saw MGS4 PLATINUM at an EB Games (aust version of gamestop) in december last year!! $50 for MGS4 and i still didn't buy it... In hindsight, a bad decision. I might add i have played all of them through though. :D Great games!!!
Can't wait for Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain.

They should think makeing a bundle saying ultimate ps3 bundle, with all 4 titles. mgs4 will never outdate untill next generation and kz2 is just awesome. started playing call of juarez, the multyplayer balance in coj felt will unbalance after kz2 multyplayer. they both same type manhunt and bodycount. best titles ever uncharted, Killzone2 and Metal gear solid and they all exclusive. games would have done better if gone exclusive : cod moder warfare, resident evil 5, assassin creed, far cry2

If 400,000 unit sales is the criteria then why hasn't Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare gone platinum?  COD4 has sold over 11 million copies the last I heard.  They can't all be on PC & XBox 360.

About time the Platinum range had some additions though!

I like the idea of platinum range, but do they have to make the disc case so extremely ugly (grey and yellow). Why not just use the same cover and just print "platinum"-text or whatever, If they feel like they have to. Maybe not the biggest and most important issue of the world problems right now, but jeez.

Sony should've told Konami / Kojima "No Trophy Patch = No Re-release".

I wouldn't be suprised if the US gets Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 as Greatest Hits as well maybe next year.

@9 exactly what i was thinking and then i just read your post!! @10 Fu ck yeah i agree! It makes a game collection look ugly and then someone comes round and say "Oh you have the Platinum version" like you are a tight wad. Also Sony sorry to say but the Platinum cover looks like crappy secondhand silver to me. They shouldn't change the cover at all just the price. At the end of the day your selling it cheaper but paying more money to produce a new different crap case.
