Ratchet & Clank to stay Sony exclusive

Sony will keep the Ratchet & Clank franchise as an exclusive for quite a while. According to Insomniac’s Bryan Bernal, Sony owns the exclusive rights to the popular series.

In an interview we posted earlier today, Bernal explained that “Sony owns the Ratchet & Clank property so it’s safe to say you won’t be seeing our heroes on Wii or Xbox 360 anytime soon.”

If you haven’t read the interview, check out the full transcript here. And, look for our review of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time soon.

This is just an extension of your previous interview. It's not news, you've just noticed that something you previously submitted could be passed of as a separate article. I anticipated this happening as soon as I read the interview.

Anyone that's read the interview - which'll be anyone that's interested in the Ratchet & Clank series - will've already read this. Therefore, the only people that'll be reading this are the people that've seen it in your interview already.

On that basis, you may aswell say that Uncharted will also remain an exclusive, just in case people have any doubts; after all, stating that Ratchet & Clank will remain exclusive but saying nothing of Uncharted is bound to cause some speculation...

Do Sony own the IP for Uncharted? I'd be devastated if that went multiplatform.
