European PlayStation 3 owners have been asking for it for a long time, and this month their requests for a video service will finally be answered. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced a partial list of movies that will launch with the European PlayStation Network Video Delivery Service.

Some of the movies set for launch include:

• Bruno
• Angels & Demons
• Casino Royale
• Crank 2: High Voltage
• Hannah Montana: The Movie
• Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
• Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
• The Hills Have Eyes
• Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

The service is set to launch in November in the UK, France, Germany, and Spain, with other regions slated for 2010. Film studios that will take part in the service include 20th Century Fox, Disney-ABC-ESPN Television1, Lionsgate2, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Starz Media2, Universal, Warner Bros and several local studios.

The video service will offer PS3 and PSP owners a chance to download high quality movies, available to buy or rent. Details on pricing have yet to be announced.

I already have 8 of the 9 movies on my HD, dont really fancy Hannah Montana: The Movie. But i hope there will be a monthly charge instead of one item charge because if its anything like PSN prices then i wont be touching this service.

That's really fair, 4 countries out of something around 50 gets video service. Yeah.

It's always the same thing. Something is coming to "europe" then it's those same 4-5 countries.
