The latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu has subjected Square’s hotly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII to the review treatment. The verdict? A near perfect score of 39/40.
Apparently, the only minor complaints concerning the mammoth RPG came in the form of “battle damage being difficult to see, and the screen being cluttered,” though the review goes on to note that “the amount of enjoyment this game offers more than makes up for it.”
Final Fantasy XIII is due out in the Land of the Rising Sun on December 17. A European and North America conversion will follow on March 9, 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
