Tekken 6 is getting a pretty significant online update that will allow players to fight side-by-side. The Scenario Campaign sets two players against several opponents in various stages. This feature was typically only available as an offline single player mode with an AI companion, but this update will allow you to join up with a friend online in the Scenario Campaign.
You’ll be able to use voice chat to go over strategies on how to defeat opponents and their legions of minions. There will also be a co-op leaderboard so everyone can see how they matchup against the best fighters in the world.
The update also includes an improvement to Mokujin AI – in online versus mode, Mokujin’s fighting style changes with every round.
The best part of this downloadable update is that it will be released for free on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Look for this update on January 18.

I wish they could do something about the tacky targeting system in that mode instead! Tekken is still a great game so I cant complain BOB FTW yes, BOB! lol.

@4 i agree. they should have added offline co-op too. this would give the game higher replay value in terms of offline gameplay.

This is so cool and barttling with different oponents in a single screen would be so thrilling. Please give more updates. Strategy planning would also be necessary with this new modified high-class game.

Finally. To be honest, unless i have a friend to play against, i dont think i will play it. It has come too late in my opinion. I've already finished this game and so has my friend, so unless we're together i'm not likely to play it.
Would've been best if they had this at release.

the update that i want out of all of them is to be able to use customized characters in vs. by that i mean that it isn't only player 1 or the online character that gets to use it but also the guest player on the same ps3. i mean really i spend so much time buying upgrades just to find out my brother cant use them and only i can.

Where is offline co-op? Why didn't they remove the lvl cap of 1st Dan for offline ghost battles? I love Tekken, played it since the first 1 but they HAVE to do these 2 things. Especially the latter because I always love to do countless ghost battles on Tekken but because of the lvl cap I don't even like doing that anymore. I played Tekken 6 way less than I thought I would. Main reason being the lvl cap for offline mode. Why should I go to higher ranks through a LAGGY online system with a lot of attack spammers who take away the fun of the game :S. I waited F'ing long for this game and this really blew me off. I really hope they fix these 2 things soon :S.

Namco must be desperate that the majority of gamers and old Tekken heads did not pick up this cash grab job that Namco did to Tekken 6 and are actively working on finishing or should I say "updating" the game to make it more appealing to all of us waiting on the side lines and to quiet the ones that went down with this ship. Very good deed. But hey Namco! because of you after Tekken 3 trying to give Tekken the "Madden treatment" I aint getting Tekken 6 until I see it at a steady 29.99 b!tch!
