Capcom announced today that it will release downloadable content for Dark Void next week. You can relive events from the game in Survivor Missions by battling waves of increasingly difficult enemy troops. You’ll get bonuses for headshots and hijacking enemy aircrafts.

This DLC is intended an arcade-style experience. You can download the content on February 11 for $4.99 USD.

Even if you don’t own the game you should check out the Dark Void Soundtrack, which includes the originaly 80 minute score from Bear McCreary. It will also include a special bonus track, “Theme from Dark Void (Mega Version),” an 8-bit rendering of the main theme. Sumthing Else Music Works will release the soundtrack on CD and digitally on February 9.

For a game that's been getting 6s and 7s in reviews, I'm surprised they've actually made DLC.

@ Sonan - It's probably because they had it completed already with high hopes of it doing well enough to try and scam for some DLC that should have been on the disc in the first place. Typical Capcom fashion.

At this point, might as well release it for free.  I don't see many people buying this.

    1. The game's only just been released, DLC coudn't have been produced that quickly and shouldn't be available. 2. The game was terrible, and got disgraceful reviews, so no DLC should be provided. 3. The DLC could've and should've been included on the disc, which is just simple logic. 4. The DLC should be free, because it was 'stolen' from the disc. 5. 'Reliving events from the game' isn't additional content, so shouldn't qualifiy as DLC, especially not at a price. 6. Capcom fail. This is a very poorly executed and developed attempt at a scam, even for Capcom. Maybe I'll buy something from them when they produce a good game. Eventually. But not until they put the whole game on the disc rather than half on the PlayStation Store. The only people that will buy this are idiots or the incredibly few people that bought and liked the game. Probably two people. Again, fail. I can't wait for Capcom to go bankrupt.
