Capcom development boss Keiji Inafune has just announced during the publisher’s Tokyo Game Show press event that the company has purchased Dead Rising 2 developer Blue Castle Games.
As a result, the studio will now take on the name of Capcom Games Studio Vancouver.
Inafune also unveiled a new epilogue chapter for Dead Rising 2 titled Case West, which stars original Dead Rising protagonist Frank West alongside Chuck Greene. Ufortunately, it’ll be an Xbox 360 exclusive much like the recently released Case Zero.
Elsewhere, he touched on his previous comments regarding the state of the Japanese videogames industry, stating, "As long as Capcom is around, the Japanese games industry is NOT dead."
Stay tuned for more news fresh from Capcom’s TGS press conference as it breaks.
