Sony spills the beans on Uncharted 2 Game of the Year Edition

Sony America has announced that it will be bringing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition to retailers across the U.S. on October 12, 2010.
Set to retail for $49.99 USD, this special re-release of the critically acclaimed Naughty Dog adventure romp will include the original game in all its glory, plus a “super voucher” allowing punters to download the following content:
·PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
·Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Multiplayer Pack
·Un charted 2 Siege Expansion Pack
·Currency Multiplier which grants Double XP up to level 10 in Multiplayer
·Golden Guns option for the AK-47 and the 92FS 9mm pistol for use in Multiplayer
·Early access to “Revenge” Booster – you still have to purchase it with in-game cash!
·Uncharted: Eye of Indra – Motion Comic Bundle (which includes Episodes 1-4)
·Uncharted: Eye of Indra – Rika Raja and Daniel Pinkerton Character Skins
·Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Avatar Pack 1
·Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Avatar Pack 2
·Uncharted Avatar Pack 3
·Uncharted Avatar Pack 4
·Pinball Heroes – Uncharted for the PSP
Just to give you an idea of how much of a bargain this is for new adopters, you’d have to fork out somewhere in the region of $35 USD for the above DLC, with some of the items not even available for purchase separately – not too shabby, we think you’ll agree.
In addition, Naughty Dog has revealed that the firm will be hosting a one-day only playlist on October 16, featuring a “Best Of” compilation of game types from previous episodes of The Lab, where you’ll be able to duke it out with developers online.
Lastly, the studio has promised more surprises will be announced “in the coming weeks.”

^ Yes, but to be honest I\'d gladly pay the extra money to play the game when it first came out rather than wait till now. I still play this game today even though I got it day one.

well, i guess i'm glad i waited for uncharted 2. now i just need to finish the first one...and a new ps3.

@psyra: How the heck is it a kick in the nuts? Do you think they would be able to do this if isn't for gamers that supported them during release, like you and me? (assuming you bought Uncharted 2).
I see it as a way to let even more people enjoy the game at a lower price point, and thus breathing some more life into the somewhat dying online multiplayer (which is freakin' awesome, in my opinion. I love multiplayer in Uncharted 2!).
For example, I never would've even gotten LBP if it wasn't for the fact that a GoTY edition was released for it!

Looks like an excellent game got even better! A def buy for does who don't already have the game but only if you've played the first UC!

I am hoping then for a price cut of a massive bundle download off the store so I can maybe buy just the DLC for it and keep my original, because these GOTY edition are worthless on trade in the near future because of the one off voucher.
Yet I have seen places like GAME Uk & GameStation sell COD4 GOTY pre-owned with map code used for £40 before MW2 came out and I know because soem friends of mine work for GS and they told me not to even buy pre-onwed games with codes to map packs
