OPM poll crowns Uncharted 2 as greatest ever PlayStation title

Readers of the Official PlayStation Magazine have voted Naughty Dog’s stellar adventure sequel Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as the greatest PlayStation title ever released.
The poll comes in light of the publication's 50th issue and the15th anniversary of the original PlayStation in the UK, with Nathan Drake’s treasure hunting escapades beating out the likes of Metal Gear Solid, Shadow of the Colossus and Final Fantasy VII to the top spot.

Is this a poll completed by people that are around ten years old, there are so many other games out there that should be on there from PSone and PS2. This is basically a PS3/PSN list and by someone that has it hard for MGS.

I don't have too much wrong with this list. It does favor some of the more recent titles, which is to be expected. I don't think in 5 years CoD will be on it, but who knows. The most interesting thing to me is that there are 3 MGS titles in the top ten, top six even. Also that Rockstar got two games in the top 10.
I wish GTA: San Andreas coulda been there instead of Vice City, it's just a richer more varied game in my opinion. Also you get to hear CJ say: Them duckets is mine now!

COD4 should not be in the top ten!
It has good online, but not "best game ever" good. Neither should Red dead.
And I personally think MGS3 is better than MGS4.
both fantastic games though.

Seems like it was put together by kids who are to young to remember/know some of the more revolutionary games of the psx/ps2 era.

Triple Metal Gear in a top ten list that makes me happy. Tho things like CoD4,RDR,RE IV should not be on this list. They are not playstation titles they are multiplatform. And RE 4 was by far the worst resident evil game of the series. Id rather play Resident Evil Gaiden than 4(And for the most of you who wont know Gaiden was the GBC Resident Evil game)

What total nonsense. U2 is a good game but its no where near being as good as half the games on that list. Vice City should win hands down. It pushed gaming way further forward than any PS3 game.
Uncharted 2 has utterly claimed the title of the most over rated game in history in my opinion.

obviously this is mostly influenced by this generation to have modern warfare and red dead on the list.

Lul, I hated Uncharted, hated MGS(every single one of its iterations). FFVII would be number 1 for me, GTA: Vice City is the best of the franchise. COD:4, are you F'ing kidding me? This list is worthless.

no cod game deserves to be in a top 10 imo, but id add tomb raider 1, spyro 1, and a few other gems. uncharted 2 doesnt deserve number 1, even though its best game this gen, the no1 spot should be for a game that really revoultionised gaming like tr and mario 64 did.

WTF has everyone been smoking your forgetting the main game that made ps2 as successful as it was and one the the best games ever to grace a console GOD OF WAR 1,2 and 3 but 3 had the OMG factor it will always be one of the greatest sony exclusives of all time ill give it a back sit to ubcharted 2 only beacause it has multiplayer

I have to agree with most of the comments. This list is just terrible for two reasons, MW and RDR. I won't deny that MW revolutionized FPS and was a great game, but not a top 10 PlayStation game. RDR used outdated graphics, minimal story imagination, and shoddy gameplay featuring the same boring toilet humor as GTA IV.
Uncharted 2, everyone must admit, is the pinnacle of gaming for this generation, whether you enjoyed the title or not. I personally didn't like the game, its not my style. But the amount of work put into that game to make it perfection for what it was, it deserves every award it gets. Its not overrated by any means. If developers really commit to their project like Naughty Dog did, the overall quality of games will jump.To be honest, R* hasn't been passionate about its games since SA and Bully(don't hate). They have adopted Activision's antics of sell, sell, sell, even if its garbage. GTA III, VC, and SA were all games of perfection for their time, my personal favorite being SA.
