UPDATE: The competition is now over and we have picked a winner. There were some great responses, and if developers wanted some pitches for killer games, they only need to check out the comments section of this article because once again, our readers know what they want, and they have some great ideas.

This was quite hard to pick mostly because there were a lot of similar answers. Captain America, Thor, Blade, Deadpool, Hulk, and our favorite—the Silver Surfer. But, we decided to go with something a bit different because, quite frankly, we want to play a game that focuses on a villain and allows us to shape shift.

And the winner is:

#38 Epyon_1
Mystique: She is a supervillain that has been involved in so many plots and her abilities are amazingly stunning to watch. A game about Mystique can put us in the shoes of a villain and can give us many approaches to how we would want to play the game due to her abilities.

We will contact the winner shortly through the email they used to register for PSU. Thank you again to all those that entered, and get ready for another competition this week!

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: PlayStation Universe wants your fall season to be full of gaming delights. In fact, we want it to be full of free gaming delights. That’s why this October we are rolling out a series of giveaways for some of our favorite recent games.

Each giveaway will require a bit more work on your part, but our basic requirements are fairly simple:

* You must be 18-years or older.
* You must be registered with PSU.
* You must be respectful of everyone (we may ask you to do some outrageous stuff along this journey).
* Finally, you can only win once in this series of giveaways.

*****************************************************************************

First up is Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. This was easily one of our favorite Spider-Man games. We liked it so much, in fact, that we gave it an eight out of 10 in our recent review. You’ll play as four different Spider-Men—Amazing, 2099, Ultimate and Noir.

In addition to the copy of the game, we have a marvelous (get it?) art book to giveaway. The Art of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a small hardcover showing off the development of the game from the artistic side. It’s a perfect gift for Spider-Man fans, or people that are fans of looking at pretty pictures.

For our first competition, we are going to make things a little easy on you—just be prepared for more effort on your part moving forward.

To enter to win a copy of the game and art book, we want to know...

Which classic Marvel character do you believe needs a new game? Please name the character and tell us why in TWO sentences or less. Be specific as we are judging not just on the character you select, but also your rationale.

One lucky winner will be picked at the end of the competition, which runs from today to Friday, Oct. 8. Everyone may enter. Good luck to you all!

Captain America: an action adventure game modelled after Arkham Asylums game play with some of the moves from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 game. His patriotic nature could really bloom a game story.

     Silver Surfer

your an alien with cosmic power and you have lost your memory, the game practically writes itself, they could easily make an amazing games from this and the surfing through space could be brilliant.

    Character - Apocalypse

A game based apon apocalypse's life would be epic, starting in ancient egypt (around 3000bc), and spaning his trials and conquests thoughout time. Getting to play as one of the of the baddest villians in marval history, and see how he developed into what he is now, would be enourmous amounts of fun (look how much fun being evil in infamous was).

Ghost Rider: He makes for the perfect game character, and the one game he has played a lot like God of War. Personally I think we need more games that play like God of War, and any Ghost Rider game would.

Hulk: he's big, he's green, and smashes stuff, no rationale needed.

Deadpool: Deadpool's personality is "unique" he would fit in a "Grand Theft Auto'ish" world. Matter of fact I don't think he ever has gotten his own video game and he is quite forgotten, if devs would make a game only about him right & probably make it like Arkham Asylum it would be GOTY.

X-Men: I remember back in the day being at a theater and playing X-men in the arcade with four of my close friends. I think with the next gen systems out a new HD X-men beat-em up game should be released. With a large character list and multiplayer awesomeness, I believe it would sell really well.

Nick Fury:   Nick Fury and Shield are so underrated its a shame...They back up every marvel superhero from Spider-man to the Hulk, wouldn't it be great if Nick Fury and shield was some kind of 4 player co-op game with Nick fury being the lead character in a 3rd person shooter.

Moon Knight! Well he was a mercenary turned hero with Marine,Boxer, mercenary, and C.I.A experience, fighting crime in order to redeem himself for all the people he killed. This hero is different because he was given powers by the Egyptian god of the moon and vengeance who has given him superpowered strength, endurance, and reflexes which is amplified by the light of the moon, and a bunch of egyptian themed weaponry such as bolas, crescent scarab throwing darts,an ivory boomerang, and a club in the shape of an ankh that glows when there is danger.

Wolverine An original story of the man with the adamantium claws would be epic! This guy has encountered so many of marvels heroes and villains that a game based on him could be filled with alot of action, story, gore, and a lot of marvels greatest characters.

Rogue: She is completely underutilized in movies. Additionally, she starts her mutant career fairly weak until she absorbs Ms. Marvel's powers and turns to the good side...and she's easy on the eyes.

Captain America definitely. The gameplay should be similar to that of Arkham Asylum.

The Phoenix: It would be a game that focuses less on melee combat and more on your ability to manipulate objects in your environment. Combat would require more than just button-mashing as you would need to figure out what power works best in certain situations so that you can create big combos.

Deadpool: The guy is awesome, and quite frankly he's not really had much of a game of his own.

Blade. Since vampires are the hot things right now in the market thanks to twilight, we  would get a full on Blade game that would be non canon to the movies and would be able to stand on its own right. I also want to know more about Blade as a character and would love the chance to kill vampires and other deadly creatures of the night.

Gambit, his character is so mysterious and it would he nice to take a deeper look into his backstory with appearances from other well known x-men such as wolverine and cyclops.
