Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops has debuted at number one on the UK All Format Charts following its launch last Tuesday, with the latest Chart-Track data confirming the shooter has moved a whopping two million copies and generated £113 GBP in revenue.

Developed by Treyarch, the Cold War-era FPS was last week branded the ‘biggest entertainment launch ever,’ beating out previous record holder Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Xbox 360 gobbled up the majority of sales with 56 percent of all copies sold attributed to the Microsoft platform, while PS3 took a respectable 44 percent. Sales figures for the PC and Wii versions were not divulged, however.

Just not that many AAA titles this winter for me besides COD and GT5.  Booooooo!  Maybe the spring will bring more awesomeness with SOCOM 4 and hopefully Ace Combat.

Well done Treyarch. COD is starting to become a little bit long in the tooth, but this is without a doubt the best game in the franchise, and well worth the purchase.
