Blizzard considering "a Diablo-related concept for consoles"

Several new job postings on Blizzard's website suggest that the game studio plans to bring Diablo III—or, at least, "a Diablo-related concept"—to consoles.
A news post on Blizzard's Diablo III community website reads, "We’re exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles and are currently looking to fill a few senior console-related positions on the Diablo III team."
"As we’ve said in the past, with proper care the gameplay could suit the console platform, and we’re interested in seeing what talent out there might be interested in such a project," the post continues. Blizzard is careful to specify, however, that "this is not an announcement of a console title."
It'd certainly be a smart business move to bring the most popular action-RPG to the most popular gaming platforms. That makes sense, right? Hop to it Blizzard!

anyone remember when blizzard was exploring the concept of starcraft for consoles? Starcraft Ghost anyone??

Yeh shame they caned Starcraft Ghost. Well There was a Diablo game for ps1. however if they made one now a days I would be to afraid it would be like DA for consoles. the interface was not enough for most classes and pailed compare to pc. however they can look at how WKC does it and use that spell style interface and it would work.

And yet I think I will still be playing it on the PC only. Oh well, as they said, it won't interfere with the game's actual release, so I don't mind.
