Sony has revealed that Sack-tastic sequel LittleBigPlanet 2 will not feature stereoscopic 3D support as originally planned.
The platformer was listed as one of many PlayStation 3 titles to include support for the swanky visual tech at E3 back in June, though for reasons unknown the feature now appears to have been pulled.
"Sorry, no 3D this time around,” commented SCEA marketing chap, Mark Valledor, in response to a user question on the US PlayStation Blog. On a more positive note, the post also confirms that online servers for the title are now "almost done,” with the final beta testing phase due to kick off next week.
LittleBigPlanet 2 is due for release in January 2011.

A little disappointing but it won't make the game any less awesome. BTW anyone interested in GT5 should know that even though there is 3D support you can barely see a 3D effect when it is on. That was one of the features that pushed me to get GT5 because I was on the fence about it and it was a real let down.

Its just right in GT. Its not meant to be in your face but subtle. Killzone would probably be more of a stand out for you.
Shame about LBP

Hmmm.... I guess that means that I can wait a little bit longer before buying my 3DTV then. I was wanting to get one for the release of LBP 2 since it's the only real interest I have in 3D gaming at the moment. I have no interest in Killzone 3 either, so it looks like I'll be good for a while longer.

@6 i agree but have you seen stardust in 3d. 8O crazy. stardust is pretty as it is but w/ 3d its crazy. i still have to try tumble in 3d. will look into that.
its funny cuz 3d may be a fad but who cares... 3d movie tickets are higher. since sony is not stupid, they've researched this 3d "fad" thing (market), they know what they are doing.
lbp2 will be awsome regardless. man i should learn how to type concrete sentences...

@10 Hey Hitler, how about you don't randomly call people names simply because they dont like the same things you do.Grow up and grow a pair. You pansy. Pretty sure if someone said outloud what Henry typed you wouldn't be going up to them saying what you typed to him, so how about you keep the keyboard warrior antics to a minimum. Manchild :)

@10
The comment from @2 was incredibly pompous. Without a doubt, it just was.
Also, trivializing the crimes against humanity that Hitler committed by using his namesake in a petty flame war is straight-up offensive, on many levels. Please take the time to think about how you are going to say something before you post it, as you were way out of line.
