Media Molecule’s confirmed that Sack-tastic sequel LittleBigPlanet 2 has now gone gold, with the game due to hit mainland Europe on January 19, 2011.
Sackboy and chums will arrive in Australia and New Zealand the following day, with a UK release bringing up the rear on January 21.
"I'm pleased to confirm that LittleBigPlanet 2 has now 'gone gold',” commented SCEE's product manager, Alex Pavey, in a post on the EU PlayStation Blog. "The new game is 100% finished, and will be released on Wednesday 19th January 2011 across Europe, Thursday 20th January in Australia and New Zealand, and Friday 21st January in the UK and Ireland."
LittleBigPlanet 2 was originally pencilled in for a release in November 2010, before falling foul to a pesky delay bullet and subsequently being pushed back in to the New Year.
Keep your eyes peeled for more on LittleBigPlanet 2 as it breaks.

It's ashame they didn't add 3D to this game, even though I don't have a 3D TV yet and won't for some time LBP 2 would of been wicked in 3D! I didn't mind this delay because at least MM won't make the same mistake as Polyphony and release a unfinished game!
