London hip-hoppers N-Dubz have cobbled together what is believed to be the world’s first videogame music video using Media Molecule’s DIY platformer, LittleBigPlanet 2.

The group’s video for Took It All Away was made entirely using the celebrated sequel, and features SackBoy caricatures of band members Dappy, Tulisa and Frazer.

"We have always been huge fans of PlayStation and the opportunity to be immortalized within LittleBigPlanet 2 and create a world-first between music and gaming is a big a deal for us," commented chullos-wearing vocalist, Dappy.

Take a gander at the video below.

    Wow... because of this neat little project I am now seriously waiting for a major Hollywood player to put a team together and create a short (or not so short) full length feature with LBP2.

    Ok. That may not be viable because they couldn't make money off of everyone watching it online for free within the LBP2 community. But, still. I can see someone taking on the challenge and trying to do something with it on the web to make some coin. Regardless, this "software" (can't really just call it a game anymore with its vast media creation capabilities) will keep astounding people for the next few years.

    This video is pretty cool. I like how it has that soft sound, that works well with the LittleBigPlanet 2 feel. I have to agree with the comments though, this sort of music does not fit into the rap/hip-hop genre.

    @Comment #2:
    HenryPSN, how this taking credit for someone elses work? N-Dubz didn't claim they created LittleBigPlanet 2. They merely used the games engine to do something creative, like Machinima.

    Like what comment #3 says, it clearly said "LittleBigPlanet Presents" at the beginning of the video, as well as many other trademarked material like "Play Create Share" throughout the video.

    @1 Luckily you didn't say hip hop.

    Not going to lie, wouldn't be caught dead with this song on my ipod but the video is well worth watching. Is all of this actually possible to do in the game or were some editing techniques employed?  For example, the part where is zooms into Sackboys eye and shows another Sackboy in a different location.
